Armonk Storybook Classic

Project Overview:

  • Addition of kitchen and eating area
  • Renovation of every bathroom
  • Reconfiguration of master suite
  • Exterior detail restoration

STYLE: Traditional

GOALS & CONSIDERATIONS:

Built in the 1920s, the house was designed in the style of French Normandy. The new owners sought to update the home for contemporary use, while maintaining the integrity and character of the original.

The house featured cool details like a wine cellar whose stairs were hidden below a hatch in the sitting room.

The kitchen was long, but narrow and lacked an eating area. Our addition created a larger kitchen as well as a sunny eating area with views of a serene property. The renovation included cabinets and beams custom made from quarter-sawn oak.

In addition, we renovated every bathroom and reconfigured the master suite to provide an improved closet and master bathroom.
